How Floors for the Cure began
40+ Years of Manufacturing Excellence - And a Mission That Matters
Diversified Industries began in 1982 when founders Bruce Castor and Matthew Harris set out to build a manufacturing company centered on quality, craftsmanship, and customer partnership. What started as a small operation focused on custom foam components has grown into a trusted manufacturer serving businesses across multiple industries.
In 2003, we expanded our capabilities and introduced floorMuffler, our own brand of premium acoustic flooring underlayment. Today, floorMuffler is recognized as one of the highest-performing underlayments in the industry.
A Mission That Matters
But our story goes beyond manufacturing. In 2004, after Bruce’s wife was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer, we felt inspired to help others facing the same fight. We then founded Floors for the Cure, a charitable foundation dedicated to supporting cancer research and providing assistance to families in need. You’ll notice the pink lip and tape system on many floorMuffler rolls – an everyday reminder that every roll sold contributes to a greater cause.
Today, Diversified Industries remains committed to innovation, compassion, and making a meaningful difference – both in our industry and in the lives of the people we serve.
